The Alerta Sapphire 2 is a replacement alternating pressure relieving mattress system with 5" air cells and a self-inflating 2" sealed foam base, forming an in-use height of 7" for effective prevention and treatment of users at high risk of developing a pressure ulcer in hospital, nursing and care home environments. With simple to use settings and functionality, the Alerta Sapphire 2 enables the care provider to quickly set up the mattress system and have it operating at optimal pressure for a specific user with ease. The R20 is one of the lightest power packs on the market, with a total carry weight of just 4.5kg, it is less than half the weight of other power packs currently available. This includes 3kg for the motor and a 1.4kg lithium-ion battery which can be disconnected and transported separately. This means that the R20 is easy to carry, store and transport for all users.

The unit is intended to be an aid to attendants or carers whilst pushing a wheelchair user. Please note - it is not designed as an accessory to enable a manual wheelchair perform as a power wheelchair
