These individual Shampoo Caps from Reynard offer a disposable, rinse-free solution to hair care that leaves the hair smelling fresh and in a towel-dry state ready for styling. Each cap is impregnated with a gentle conditioning shampoo that is designed to release when gently massaged. Used solution is absorbed back into the cap along with any dirt, EEG gel, debris or even blood. Shampoo caps mitigate the risks that can be associated with hair washing in a healthcare environment where patient-care equipment needs to be taken into consideration and offer a pragmatic solution while providing frail, ill or critical care patients. The patented T Bar mechanism in the base (see picture) allows a sit to stand and pivot transfer to be carried out by a single nurse or carer thus reducing the time it takes to carry out the task as well as halving the cost of having two carers/nurses present during the transfer. The nurse/carer does not need to counterbalance the Rota Stand Solo as the client pulls themselves to a standing position. The nurse/carer can now assist the client to stand before rotating the client to a new seated position.
